Love

Todays blog is about love. and another amazing quote from the Alchemist: "Because it's not love to be static like the desert, nor is it love to roam the world like the wind. And it's not love to see everything from a distance, like you do. Love is the force that transforms and improves the Soul of the World. When I first reached through to it, I thought the soul of the world was perfect. But later, I could see that it was like other aspects of creation and it had it's passions and wars. It is we who nourish the Soul of the World, and the world we live in will be either better or worse, depending on whether we become better or worse. And that's where the power of love comes in. Because when we love, we always strive to be better than we are."
I have been learning about love lately, and it's not always easy. But I believe what the Alchemist says, because it's one thing to see things from a distance and another thing to dive right in.
Another quote from my wisdom oracle cards : "True Peace, Prosperity, and Happiness can only be achieved through love. But before these things can manifest in the world around you, you must feel them and love them with your heart." I have taken the plunge and committed to love. Another quote a friend of mine said to me a few years back was "Freedom through commitment" which took me awhile to understand but now I think I do. I was at that stage very uncommital about alot of things. This year I have committed, and taken those steps that really used to scare me. (like buying a duvet, and getting a landline and a boyfriend) but I have to say taking the leap and letting go of the trapeze and flying to the other side even when you don't know what the other side looks like has been worth it. The other thing I was talking about recently was regrets. It has always been my goal in life to live without regrets. And right now I have to say I am feeling "freedom through commitment" and I would have regretted it if I ran away.
I painted these dolphins when I was trying to manifest love in my life, and I put them in the very far right hand corner of my house. Let me tell you it worked!
